These retro birthday postcards are a GREAT idea to keep in the house.
They're cute, affordable to buy, (and to send) and they would be super appreciated as an in-hand birthday greeting for anyone.
The design says, My best wishes for your birthday, in fun vintage style fonts. There's an illustration of a straight pin in one corner that makes it look like it's being pinned to a cork board. The design looks aged and worn giving it a delightful antique retro look.
About these postcards:
Sometimes the old ways are just better.
Text messages and social media posts are nice but if you really want to create an impact, and show you care, a postcard makes a terrific impression. And it's something they can keep and treasure always.
There's less waste too. No need for envelopes that just get tossed into the landfill.
Grab a bunch of these to keep on hand so you'll be ready for everyone's birthday this year.
Here's a fun idea for a his or hers 50th birthday party. These invites look like an audiotape, aka cassette tape, that you personalize with all of the birthday party info.
If they're turning 50, chances are they made more than a few mix tapes back in the 80's which means they'll LOVE this rad invite design.
50th Birthday Party Invitation
This is what the front looks like. The details on this are amazing. It looks do real because it's a photo image of an actual audio tape that you can easily personalize for your favorite about-to-be-fifty-year-old birthday person.
Here's a look at the flip side.
Retro School Portrait Laser Background and Party Invitations
Back in the 80's every kid wanted the cool laser background on their school photos. If you're planning an 80's theme party or planning a birthday or anniversary party for someone who was either born in the 80's or got married back then, we've got THE best invitation for you!
You can customize every word and number both on the front and on the back of these fun 5" x 7" party invitations.
The front of the design features fun laser look lines going across diagonally and you personalize it by uploading a photo of the birthday "child" or the happy anniversary couple.
The back exclaims that it's party time, has all of your personalized party information and has a couple of cassette tapes and a burst of brightly colored stars at the bottom.
These come complete with a white envelope.
They look great when you use a retro laser background photo of the birthday boy or girl but if you don't have an original from the eighties, or if you're planning to use these invites for an anniversary party, you can purchase a poster print of that famous laser beam backdrop and create a new photo to use.

Murder Mystery Party Games
Murder Mystery Party Ideas
Murder Mystery parties work best when you're planning a sit down dinner but you can also host one when you're planning a buffet.
You'll need to choose a theme beforehand. They can be set to any time period you like. The Roaring 20's is a really fun and popular era to choose but any retro decade or even the present time period will do.
The theme is fun to use for a grown up birthday party but can also be used for Halloween, or for a truly unique and unforgettable Thanksgiving, Couple's shower, or any time you want to get the gang together just for fun.
You'll want to keep the guest list fairly small with about 8 - 20 people being a good number. Too few guests and it isn't as much fun. Inviting too many can make it a bit confusing.
Guests should receive a suspect character sheet before or as soon as they arrive.
Plan on providing a small note pad and writing instrument for each guest so they can take notes.
I found a great guide at How Stuff Works. Visit How to Host a Murder Mystery Party to read all about it.
I also found a fun board at Pinterest that has a lot of great ideas for planning your own Murder Mystery. Visit Murder Mystery Parties on Pinterest to check it out.
