Looking for a fun birthday party idea for a kid of any age? A vintage circus carnival theme would be loads of fun. I've hand selected 3 circus-tastic invites and provided a few fun ideas to help you throw the greatest party on earth. 3 of the Cutest Circus Invitations The first thing you're going to need is a truly fun invite that lets your intended guests know exactly what to expect when they arrive at the party. Personalized invites make things a lot easier because you don't need to fill them all out. I've featured 3 of my favorites here but there's plenty more to choose from at my favorite place to buy invitations, Zazzle. Circus Carnival Birthday Cake and Party Food Ideas I can't think of a more fun party idea than a carnival circus theme. You can easily recreate the atmosphere with lots of fun decorations, simple foods, party games and a super fantastic cake. The cake shown above was obviously created by a professional decorator and if you have the money for that sort of thing, that's certainly a good way to go but if you look at the way the baker decorated this, I think you can recreate a simpler version at home using either fondant or frosting, round candy or gum balls and some colorful animal cookies. Another option would be to purchase something like the really affordable cupcake holder shown below. That way, you can bake your own cupcakes, decorate them however you like, and they'll still match your circus theme and look GREAT on the dessert table. It's easy to decorate a room for the party too! A visit to your local party store or a quick search online will garner all kinds of cute circus party decorations and supplies. I found things like a red and white striped tablecloth skirt, a cardboard cut-out ticket booth, all kinds of balloons, colorful streamers and even a standup circus photo op set-up. Serve simple foods like hot-dogs and hamburgers and be sure to have plenty of pop corn and cotton candy on hand. Fun carnival games can be set up and played by all. I found this board at Pinterest just filled with wonderful ideas for homemade carnival games. You might hand out tickets to the winners of each game instead of prizes and then have a raffle at the end of the party where the winning tickets get a neat circus-theme prize. You can also include a clown as entertainment but keep in mind that some young children might not find him/her so funny. It might be a better idea to use face paint on each of the guests, turning everyone into a funny character instead. No matter how big or small you pan it, I hope you have the greatest time at your own private circus carnival. PLEASE SHARE YOUR BEST CIRCUS CARNIVAL BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW

![]() Your guests will be thrilled to get a vintage sports ticket invitation for your baby boy shower party. These tickets look like the real deal and are completely customizable with the details of your party. The paper on these shower invitations looks vintage too, they have the feel of a 1930's or 40's ballpark ticket. They make a wonderful keepsake too. It would also be completely adorable to have an older sibling being the "ticket taker" at the door of your party and either stamping or punching the tickets as guests arrive. This is a great way to get a big brother involved in the party.
